Territories are contested, appropriated, demarcated, and secured; they are expressions of affiliations and power relations. SCOTTY aims to artistically explore and question these relations in a variety of ways. This involves questions of ownership and appropriation, and the subversive disruption of both through artistic interventions. Boundaries are challenged to transform territories into spaces of possibility. Open spaces are utilized and created, allowing new mental and social spaces to emerge.
